For English spoken people it is sometimes difficult to properly pronounce Italian or Spanish names (as is for us Germans!). Recently I was doing researches and had to go through a couple of Roberto’s publications. Many times in introductions I heard his name wrongly pronounced. This might be of help.
The name Roberto Giobbi is correctly pronounced if you just think of the word “jobby” (and pronounce it like that). If you check https://tophonetics.com/ and type in “jobby”, then click the play button, you will hear Roberto’s name correctly.
No additional “i” after the g. Just Jobby. It is easy to remember, because Roberto is the one who does the job, and he always has tons of jobs to do, so he is “jobby”.
